Back End Developer

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our growing team at Mayten, a mobility technology company based in Brussels. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building robust APIs to support our mobile and web clients. You will also play a key role in communicating with stakeholders, project managers, and other developers to ensure that our long-term technology roadmap is on track.

Responsibilities

• Regularly communicate with stakeholders, project managers, and other developers to ensure the success of our long-term technology roadmap
• Design and build scalable, robust APIs to support mobile and web clients
• Collaborate with team members, management, and the product team to ensure timely and quality delivery of our products
• Break down larger technical features into smaller, manageable tasks
• Manage and optimize scalable, distributed systems on the cloud

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and Spring, as well as knowledge of REST APIs and microservices
• Experience with Azure AKS, Kubernetes, and containerization
• Good understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as experience with event-driven systems like Kafka
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with distributed systems design and cloud-based systems
  

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Strong experience with Java and Spring, including Spring boot
• Knowledge of REST APIs and microservices
